While that might seem nice, much of the recent snow has fallen pretty wet, and the extended super cold temps over the next week or two will draw up a bunch of surface facets. It could lead to substantial avy danger for a while if something gets dumped on top of that.
So cross your fingers. all that snow might end up at the bottom of the hill.
Haha no worries man. That's definitely a good point. "super cold temps" are really a new issue to me, as I'm from Oregon where all snow falls wet, and we mostly worry about it melting away the next day when it's 42 fucking degrees.
I couldn't be more excited about this 0 degree shit.
Its really nice when you get new snow while its cooling down, and the top few inches are ghost smoke, and it slowly fades to heavier snow underneath. Plus if its in the negatives not many people are out skiing.
But ESPECIALLY if you are coming from the PNW, please be cautious with the snowpack. Lots of experienced and safe BC riders die here.
