Heres what you do to make it better. Dump movie maker, and buy some legit software, you dont have to go crazy on the price of it. But honestly movie maker is an absolute no go. No hate here, just honestly what I think would help you out. Also this should be posted in Media & Arts.

You can start by ditching Windows movie maker. Get Sony Vegas.

shots besides 1st person would have been better. Even if you just have a gopro, stick that thing to a pole or cut hockey stick to at least get some external shots. Shoot anything and everything so you have a wealth of shots to use, even the stuff you think is boring. Bails are to always be kept.

A short intro where you're not skiing is great.

Get rid of those effects. Flow of the video, quality of shots, is way better than cheesy effects.

Also if you get some 3rd person shots that would help. Maybe throw your go pro on a ski pole for a couple runs if you have nobody to film you

As far as your point about it not be shaky very true though.

Song was god awful. Get rid of the effects and get a ski pole mount for your gopro. Also some better angles on your shots.

IMO: cut out the whole changing colors thing, put the gopro on a ski pole and do followcams and keep it as steady as possibe. Cut out the shaky black thing you had going on, different music and edit to the rhythm of the beat using occasional B-Roll footy.

First ditch all the effects like the rainbow or whatever it is and the shaking thing. 2nd try to not give me a headache from the filming. Look up some DIY gopro mounts that make your shots more stable. Also avoid filming from the head mount or whatever.

every body starts somewhere so dont get all discouraged by the hate on your first edit. Watch as many high rated edits as you can and pick up tips from those and apply them to your edits

the skiing was actually good, but you gotta go easy on the editing. That colour correction was quite horrible and the jiggly black bars were fucking annoying....but then again I don't really like pov shots anyways...
