Which event will pros spin farther into the future X games or olympics

The x games is usually the largest and most publicized ski competition of the year, however with the olympics this year will be different, especially due to the fact that these two events are so close together. I would be very interested to know how olympic qualified athletes will treat the x games. With the cash prizes that the x games offers, I could easily see how these athletes(Wallisch, Brown, Yater-Wallace etc.) will be throwing down as hard as ever. On the other hand, they also might play it conservative in an attempt to stay injury free for the olympics.Which even will they place bigger priority on? If their has already been a thread about this, just link me to it. It would be cool to hear from some pros who are in this situation though.

The Olympics happen once every four years. Winter X happens every year. If that doesn't answer your question right off of the bat, I don't know what will.
I could definitely see this year's X Games being the least progressive in years though, for exactly the reason you stated. A sponsor could definitely reimburse an athlete for those "missed" podiums, just so they can stay on top of their game, injury free, and go balls to the wall at the Olympics, where the whole world will be watching.

The courses will be better at X Games. I can't see much progression at the Olympics, maybe a bit in pipe

The ski industry is broke dude, I am pretty sure sponsors wouldn't reimburse athletes for missed podiums.
All times are Eastern (-5)
