This is my newest video, still getting used to a glidecam ( I know I am not getting the absolute Stabilized shots) This was also my first time shooting with my new Davis & Sanford Provista Grounder tripod w/ the FM 18 Head. Any critiques would be greatly appreciated trying to really dial in my videos before winter hits in the PNW.

Pretty good. I'd say maybe a few more broll shots like the mountain or maybe him hiking up or something but pretty nice. And glidecam xould could use a bit of work

You think I could use more b roll shots even though its a preseason edit kind based on the tricks? I actually shot more b roll but didnt put it in for whatever reason haha.

maybe be more selective with the shots. also work on keeping that camera steady. i liked it, that dude kills it

for instance, the shot of the guy sliding the downtube with the dick at the end, he just straight slides it, but then you have a shot of one of you front 2seving out. i'd use only the fs27 shot and not the straight slide one

My critiques:

- Correct for white balance. 0:05 to 0:09 was way too drastic of a color change. 0:09 is much too green/blue.
- Earlier cuts in and out. Only show what needs to be shown, you don't need to show too much of a ride in or a ride away
- Shoot tighter on the subject, especially on those tripod shots
- Practice with your shooting, but that comes naturally, so if you keep shooting a lot this year you'll get better and better at it in no time at all.
- Didn't love the song, but that's a pretty subjective opinion.
- I thought the ending title was pretty ugly, but that's something you tune out over a while.

I liked:

- Good use of sound.
- Good length.
- Exposure was generally consistent and accurate, the shots on the green plastic tube could have been brighter.
- Decent variation between glidecam and static.

Thanks for the awesome and thorough critique. I did notice the 2nd shot was horribly white balanced. The song was on a little bit of the wierder I will argee with you on that. The rider wanted me to use a song he liked soo, thats what he likes haha. And i also could understand about the ending title you have amazing titles so it makes mine look very sub par haha. Also I dont know much about illustrator and after effects to make really dope motion titles.

For sure. It's not too hard to fix WB in post, just use the three way color corrector, use the dropper tool for the mids, and click on the snow. That gets everything pretty evened out.

If the song was the rider's choice, I guess that's fine! Maybe if you don't love it try to convince him to pick another song that is more agreeable. It worked alright but I think there are dozens of other songs that could have worked better.

Ha, thanks! Titling is definitely something that you work out with practice. Just copy what you like and just fool around with other programs to get the hang of them! I'm far from great at Illustrator and I know my way around AE, but I still have so much to learn. There's no harm in trying, though!

One is a tube and one is a single bar rail. He is tail pressing the bar and 270 onto the tube. So its kinda different shots
