how much is 500 watts?

so there are these 500 watt lights on sale at ace for like $13 and i was wondering how mush of an area they light up. enough for a good sized rail, or do you need more than one or what?

Get those standup sodium lights that you can buy from home depot. I don't know the wattage, but I am pretty sure it is more than 500.

a flood light is between 20 or 40 bucks, but u can get them bigger for more and cheaper for the small size but worse quality

500 is a lot, should maybe reach 15-25 feet max

yeah it is good. the work lights the dude above said are 500 watts. it is what i have. 2 at 500 for 1,000 watts. you need power though. you can get a car adapter, but you have to run your car at the same time.

We have a 220 volt light.. This thing is HUGE!! its freakin' daytime when we turn it on. Dope for skiing

i have a mount bescor 50/100 watt light for my camera and it's bright enough to light up someone im filming in pitch black... so multiply that by 5 and yes.
