Can someone please give me some quality assistance on down rails in general? I cant figure out how you lean down mountain when you hop on, I almost always slip out. It has come to the point where I'm so scared to do them that I can't do it properly because I'm terrified of slipping out. All of my friends have figured it out and I'm starting to avoid down rails all together, any tips on this concept?
I used to have the same problem, it plagued me for the past two seasons. You basically just have to almost lean forward to get back from where you are right now. Eventually it will be instinctual to have your feet under your body on all rail and kink rails will be a breeze. Hit my first double kink earlier this year and it was fun!
put more weight on your front foot. its gonna be pretty hard to slip backwards if you have weight on your front foot. sometimes it feels like i have more weight on my front foot than my back foot.
Just have confidence and comit, its really the main key in this stuff, if you have confidence or the courage to try again you are going to get it eventually, no one can really just tell you how to do it. If its not worth it to you then dont do it.

this here is your problem. you know what you need to do (lean downhill when you hop on), all it takes is commitment. watch your other friend who've got the technique down and try to imitate them. progression means doing scary shit sometimes, just gotta do it
I never really had that issue with down rails or kinks. I think if you go in confident and think of how its simple it will help too. YOu just need to commit fully. My advice is to center your balance over both feet, don't put all your weight on your rear leg, and focus on the end of the rail.
