hey everyone, just wondering if anyone knows how the chronics handle the powder compared to the blends. I know the chronics are skinnier but I don't need too fat of a ski. However, I don't want to sacrifice good float in any depth of snow.
the only difference between the chronic and the blend is the width, the blend is probably a better choice for you, although the waist is a little wider it is still versatile, and will be super fun ALL over the mtn. hope this helps
i have blends, they have nice stability all over the hill, in pow, and are fun for the park too. If where you live gets a decent amount of pow, go for the blends. If you are looking at <5 pow days a year than you might want to consider the chronics.
This isn't true at all? They have different sidecut, different early rise, different tip/tail shape and very different flex.
For what it's worth the Blends are much better in powder than the Chronic, but I hated the flex pattern on them to the point I only skied my pair maybe 10 times before selling.
Blends! They are the perfect width, have plenty of rocker, but not too much, and are soft and playful. They're amazing all around skis, in and out of the park, and I was just telling someone the other day that I think they are the best ski I have ever skied.
