Just wondering if anybody knew if and ski movie companies that are selling movies had to get permission to you use the music they use?

In the UK there is a license you can get to use music in your videos, but it doesn't work online. I doubt anyone has ever payed for it then. The license also excludes films with corporate sponsorship, which excludes ski movies.

Above that I think you need to contact the labels directly.

I'm pretty sure that youre supposed to get permission to even use songs in an edit. this year windells got in trouble for not getting permission for their session 1 video so they had to take out all the sound
