Replying to 1970's 8mm Movie Cameras?

Hey guys,

Last night (Thanksgiving) my grandfathers was showing us some old home videos that he shot in the mid 1970's. He just had the footage transferred to DVD.

It was one of the coolest things ever. No sound, just an old, grainy film look, but a lot of it still had decent color, that just made you want to be there. Made me want to attempt to shoot a ski edit with the same camera really bad.

He doesn't have the camera anymore though, so I'm looking for one that would be similar. I'm kind of lost when it comes to this stuff. Almost every camera on eBay doesn't have a year attached to it.

Can anyone find me a camera on eBay that might be similar? I know it's not a lot of info. But some of these cameras look like they'll sell for $5, others for $150, so it's really hard to know.
