I have a konova k2 camera slider, and I woant to use it to film skiing this year. My only problem is that I don't want the bearings inside to freexe up and wreck it. Any one know what would happen or what I can do?

check out the lubricant, see if you can swap it or check the temp rating. keep it moving, and if it jams it means the metal has probably contracted too much. What temps are you trying to film in also? like 20F or -20F? can make a difference

I have used this slider in the cold pretty extensively with no problems, as have others I know. You should be good.

I plan on using it in -10 to -25 celcius. would that be too cold for it?

If your'e really concerned about it, you could email them to find out the operating range (if it isn't listed), but I don't think people have really had problems with this. Have you heard of this happening much, or were you just worried that it could potentially happen?

I've never even heard of people using sliders for filming skiing but I thought I would give it a go. So Idk If it would break the bearings. I know for a fact that when I put my skateboard bearing in the freezer for about 20-30 minutes, It got quite stiff and wasn't able to move too well...

I know a lot of people on here have used sliders to film skiing. I can't think of who right now, but if you see an edit, pm someone. Did you find anything out from the manufacturer?

I think your slider freezes due your area weather. there are some places where sliders get freeze due to heavy snowfall. I am using slider but never face such problem..
