My dad wants to buy a house on Gunstock and change that to our home mountain. Wanted to get peoples opinions on the park before I let my dad do this. Lets hear what you guys have to say
Wow, I'm a retard. I meant North Conway. I was thinkin of Tilton for Highland. Plymouth is tight but only because their police don't give a fuck and the smith rail.
North Conway only if you want to ski the other side of NH (Attitash, Wildcat, Cranmore, etc). I wouldnt recommend going over the Kenc (Kencamagus) with snow.
But if all you handle is Gunstock, its not terrible. Night skiing is pretty fun
OP can still shred other mountains and have a separate pass other than Gunstock if he feels he needs one, Gunstock isn't much worse than the other NH resorts, its a good enough idea for a place to live on the east coast and be 5 minutes door to lifts. Gunstocks not bad for a small hill it has decent trees and stuff I know the other NH resorts are better but not by miles. If its ski in ski out definitely tell him yes.
I have to agree with this. North conway is near tucks, cranmore right in town, loon on the other side of the kank, sunday river a hour away, and north conway arguable has the most going on in northern new hampshire besides lincoln. Only other town north of conway is berlin and sure as shit you don't want to live there.
The problem with the Kank is that it can be wiiicked bad in the winter, so if you plan on skiing loon and WV then I would try to get on the other side towards Lincoln.
check out franconia / easton / sugar hill, it's really nice and close enough to all that, especially loon which has the best park and cannon which as the best skiing
