I have 16.5 credits this semester and work 2 12 hour dispatcher night shifts on the weekend. I already got 3 days up at killiington, vt., 4 hours away! And yes I want a cookie. And yes everybody hates you. And no I know you don't care.

So you're only working 24 hours a week and you're able to cover rent, tuition, 16 hours worth of gas a weekend, 400 buck student lift pass, ski gear and on top of other everyday expenses and possible visits to the hospital? You're either going into insane debt, getting a lot of help or you concentrate your whole year into those 5 months of skiing and the rest of your life is filled with sitting around doing nothing and working to save up money...

Sorry but I have other hobbies than skiing so what's your point?

He seems like a normal kid he prob lives with is buddies and doesn't pay rent, picks up 24 hrs at a decent part time job, takes his classes (if they are back to back and on the same days its doable) and goes skiing.

Don't be butthurt that other people are doing far better than yourself at life.

I don't usually do this but since you kids seem to love to brag about having to pay for your own shit...

Graduating college in 4 years is kind of tough when you've transferred schools only to drop out and move out west at 19 to work full time for a year and a half at resorts to afford a season pass and construction during the summer to afford to mountain bike... all to gain instate status to afford tuition at the third college you've attended... all the while still having to work 25-35 hours a week but still having to go into tens of thousands of dollars into debt through student loans.

You are spot on.

You're more retarded than I thought to think that college is the end-all-be-all to live a happy life with a decent job. I fucking hate college, I'll be the first in my family to graduate college so yeah I'm not college material but why do you give a fuck? How is that a bad thing considering my passions in life are the outdoors and ripping insecure shitheads like you to pieces? There aren't many majors out there to give you a career in doing either one of those thing.

But that shit contradicts everything you have said on this thread you tard.  You were giving college kids shit for having the time to work and ski because you don't.

You've been banging on like "I can't ski I have to attend class...how can anyone ski and be in college, they'll be in even more debt than me, no time to ski, debt, let me cry about being at my 4th college and quitting 2 ones before to ski...but I don't really like skiing I'd rather go to college and be my awesome self but even though I don't like skiing I'll still post on here" and now you want to try and claim that college isn't the be all and end all?

You are more or less describing my life. I will, once my second job as a ski instructor kicks in, be working at least 5 days a week while taking 16 credits at plymouth. I am 40,000 in debt already because of student loans. I've transferred from community college and came up short with credits so when I got to plymouth technically as a sophmore I was really considered a freshman. I have always had to pay for my tuition because my parents were terrible savers and now will have to, at least, spend an extra semester if not an extra year in school. I cant afford winterim to make up for that lost time. And yet, I don't whine, I don't complain, and I'm also not in my mid to late 20's still acting like a 12 year old on NS (though I know I'm close tehe). I have ZERO sympathy for you and your worthless cause. I guarantee I've been through more hardship in my life and Im at least 5 years younger than you. Fuck off, you suck, and the last thing Im gonna do is sympathize with your plight. Stop making fucking excuses and do something with your life bud.

The sad part about all this is that I have to make up shit and try really hard to look like an idiotic and self-absorbed asshole. You on the other hand do it so naturally, all the while getting personally insulted by the uncreative and generalized insults I spew.


There's a trend among the kids who really hate me and that is at one point or another, they reveal their true selves by being absolutely serious and saying something incredibly ignorant and awful, purely out of spite. The reason kids like you take the internet so seriously is because this is the only place where you can fake people into believing that you're a good guy with nothing but good intentions for everyone.

Only on the internet is it possible for you to write something, review it and to make absolutely sure that the content your putting out into public view doesn't reveal how shitty you are in real life. As for everyone else, they're happy with how their lives are going and see this site only as cheap entertainment. Ok, I'm done because I really need to jack off to some child porn now.

Skiierman is just so fucking wrong on this thread.  SOOOOO wrong.  His original posts agrees with corporations forcing low paid employees to work Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday.  If he had gone the other way he might have had a point.


The low wage workers protesting against being forced to work holidays are 100% correct.  Let these retailers sell shit online instead of having people trample each other.


Most of this website are young and therefore MUST have all at some point or another thought about picking up holiday hours.  YOu can't get hired at Best Buy or Walmart after August without a guarantee you will be available for Black Friday and Christmas Eve.  IF your family spends the holidays elsewhere you are fucked you can't get the job.  Its a complete joke.


AMericans as a whole deserve to be criticized for not demanding more paid vacation.  Its disgusting that jobs start their workers with 2 weeks a year.  Its one of those mind boggling things that is unthinkable that educated Americans this day in age can be against (like universal healthcare.)  We progressed from things like hanging black people in trees and having separate water fountains is crazy that we are going backwards in terms of social issues such as these.  Americans live to work not work to live like other countries and most people think its OK. 


Now nowhere else has harder working people or more educated people.  (Of course some fucking asshole is going to try and claim that Asian countries are more educated despite hordes of them kicking down our doors to attend our Universities.)  But Skiierman tried to crap on the US and picked a valid social issue to do so.,,,AND THEN THE FOOL AGREES WITH THE WRONG SIDE!!!!

as an employed engineer i look at my peers in austria, barcelona, UK, vancouver canada and how much they work/travel/use their benefits and it's much more generous in countries outside of the US. they have better lives, despite having similar experience, education, etc

it's not that america is shitty, it's that the payoff of putting in a lifetime of work here is shitty. pensions are a thing of the past, insurance companies can drop your broke ass, and there is very little worker representation in government (union membership is declining)....simply put the middle class worker's interests matter little to our leaders AND our employers.

im not asking for handout, i'm asking to contribute to a system that protects workers and doesn't financially ruin individuals because they get sick
