find some old SPKs and unscrew the plastic/foam thing from behind the calf, then screw them into the same place on your boots and crank your power strap, if your strap is weak get booster straps
Land switch more. Trying tricks that land forward always inevitably leads to a bit of bang, due to a tendency to land backseat when you're trying new crap. So land switch and lands bolts on those regular landings.
shin bang is usually from landing back seat when going forwards. your leg bends over the plastic on the back of your boot and it like stresses out the front of the bone or something, then you go back front seat and push on that stressed out bone and it sucks. the salomon SPK has a pad behind the calf so that when you land back seat it softens the blow so to speak and you never get shin bang. I used to rock these ski boot shin pad things that i found at a store in girdwood once but they went in front of my shin and didnt do shit but make me ski more back seat, the pad behind the calf is where its at, it puts you more forward so you ski better with your knees bent deeper over your toes, and it cushions your leg when you wind up all back seat jesus
used to have the same problem before I got some three piece nordicas that saved my shins. Ice and advil help the inflammation. Besides that just do what others have said, stay foreword and keep boots really tight around the calf
Op have you got custom footbeds? when you say the boots are fitted, how far does that go? i hope when you say fitted you don't just mean a heat moulded liner
Go and buy some doctor scholls arch supports, put them in all the footwear that you have, daily shoes work boots, whatever you wear on a regular basis, no need to put them in your ski boots, this fixed my shin bang in two weeks about ten years ago, never had it since, not even a trace of it. They're ten bucks a piece so it's a cheap option, my doctor told me it was from poor support in my daily shoes and told me this would cure it.
To op. First off we need to know what pain your getting. Do you get the pain when you land more in the back seat, or is it more a pain in the front of the shin caused by the tounge area of the boot. They are very differnt things and caused by differnt things. If it's the first and you get the pain when your not pressuring the tounge then you could try what Alex suggested. The soft spoiler is great. Also making sure the foot is in neutral with a footbed can help. If it's the shin when you press the tounge it could be a few things. Most common are too much space over the instep in the shell, your foot may be pronating it the boot may just be too stiff. If there is space over the instep footbeds and heel lifts may help. If your foot pronatrd again a footbed will help. If the boot is too stiff you can soften all boots other then 3 piece.
Start with custom footbeds. Doesn't help, get gel pads or foam pads for the shin area, push it back onto your shin a bit so there's not much movement. Doesn't help? Intuition wrap liners. No more shin bang.
