Are they worth it?

FKS 18 over the 14s?

6'2" 200 lbs. Ive had problems with my old griffons so I'm looking to upgrade. I hear great things about the all metal toe on the 18 but i want to know if its worth it?

Any opinions?

depends on what you want your din at....

you do weight 200 so id say fks 180 would be a good choice

I am 150 and my din is set at 10 on my fks 140's

thats what im thinking. i feel like im right on the edge and could go either way.

only thing is that the 14 toe release is much better and safer. The 18s dont have any vertical release, and if you need an 18 din binder, then vertical release situations could happen. The 14's are just a better overall binding, just not as durable. If you are heavy on your gear, get the 18s, if not, the 14s will not let you down.

basically 18s if you mean business. im 140 pounds and i rock the 18s (and old 15s) simply because if its not loaded with metal im gonna break it

i like the 18s over the 14s because of metal and ive broke the 14s before and i ride a high din
im 5ft7in 160 for reference
