shit forgot to post quote:
Newschoolers.com - Skiing's Online Community <------ This is a skiing website.
Most of the people that go on it are into freestyle, which is a relatively foreign sport to many people. I myself am an avid skier and spend a lot of time on it; it is a website extremely similar to this one as it has almost the exact same goals. Furthermore, its content is extremely similar to the content here (only it relates to skiing).
Now what does this have to do with Silverfish, and why is this thread being posted here?
Because my friend and I had a bet over the general users of this website vs. Newschoolers; I ended up losing. I have spent the last few days posting stupid comments, making an unnecessary thread or two, and have asked questions WITHOUT EVEN SEARCH-BARRING. And to my surprise, I didn't receive any hate. Most of the stuff that I posted was replied to quickly, my questions were answered, and people genuinely wanted to help me out. Compared to NS where noobs are first shunned and then later accepted, you guys seem to care a little bit more. This is something that people that are new to longboarding would really appreciate. The closest thing I got to hate was from "
BigTreeFallHard" who is apparently a mod. Not only did he answer to a thread of mine 2-3 times (haha you've got patience bro) but corrected me politely after making a new one over the same basic topic. Therefore, shout-out to this guy.
And although NS is my favorite website and you guys couldn't tell me how to get to Chad's Gap from the bottom of Alta, I honestly think that this is a great community.
