Juicer Jason Giambi admitted to a federal grand jury he took steroids and human growth hormone in 2003, according to transcripts of testimony obtained by the San Francisco Chronicle and published in the newspaper’s Thursday editions.
This contradicts Giambi, who routinely said he never took performance enhancing drugs.
The problem with that is not only is Giambi a druggie, but he's also dishonest and from here on out, anytime the guy opens his mouth, you have to wonder if he’s telling the truth. I know it sounds harsh, but it’s true. Take Jeff Kent, no one in baseball has ever looked at this guy the same way after he got caught in a lie when he was with the Giants.
Not that I condone it, but you could see where Jason Giambi might lie about being a drug user, but I don’t think any of us can see where Jeff Kent would lie about how he got hurt. Kent was just dishonest…and stupid.
Clearly, this isn’t about Kent and the lies he’s told throughout h is career, it’s about Giambi. In his Grand Jury testimony obtained by the Chronicle, he told the jury he used steroids obtained by Greg Anderson, the personal trainer for Barry Bonds.
Giambi did not finger Bonds in his testimony and said Anderson was secretive about who he was working for and what he was doing to help other athletes.
Giambi’s younger brother Jeremy also told the Grand Jury he shot drugs received from Anderson, according to the Chronicle.
The bottom line here is the Giambi’s were granted immunity from prosecution if they told the truth to the Grand Jury, but faced perjury charges if they didn’t.
Jason described to the Grand Jury how he shot human growth hormone into his stomach and testosterone into his ass. He called Anderson's products, “undetectable and he used “the clear and “the cream'.
Clearly this is big because Giambi becomes the biggest star to date to admit he shot the juice and used human growth hormone.
