Its a 3 piece boot that has ridges in the front which allows it to flex much easier than regular boots. Thats the biggest difference, but there is a lot of other minor details that make them awesome.

Just switched from Dalbello to FT,.  Got 2013/14 Seth pros, Thanks MC.   Replaceable soles ( extends boot life indef)  Lightweight, Intuition liner( top of the line)  they just feel right, better than my krypton pros and i havent even broken em in yet.

I've been on full tilts after getting my first pair a couple of years ago and they really aren't for me. first of all i hate the fact that the liner does not allow for you to easily insert an insole into it so for somebody with weirdly shaped feet i have had to squeeze a super feet into my liner and my feet are cramped in there. its comfortable but I think I'm going to try out dalbellos next time

The 3 piece design creates a more even 'linear' flex that is determined from the stiffness of the tongue instead of how tight you buckle your boot. Among other reasons. This flex helps combat shin bang and the design is simple so they are much lighter than most boots in the freeride & freestyle market. Thanks!

This video can explain a bit more. It's mildly old but still relevant! Kinda like our original FTO shell ha!

Two points I would like to know from you guys. You say buckling them tight does not affect flex but that is not what I have found. If you tighten the top cable it will restrict the flex as it stops the tounge flexing forward. The cable is held in place solidly so the tighter you do it the stiffer the flex.

Also how does a more progressive flex forwards help with shin bang which is caused by backseat landings?
