Hi NS! December’s approaching, and we’re really getting close to the righteous time of year when all of NS skis (almost, I guess). A lot of you have already been able to shred some, but as a city boy, I’ll have to wait a few weeks.
This is the pre-season of the year where we don’t listen in class no more (too busy drawing trannys on tables), where girls seem so uninteresting and we prefer to look like idiots throwing 450 on side walls (yh i know, i’m like, good), and where we spend way too much time watching skiing edits and movies.
In my november stoke and madness, I set out to find some awesome HD shots that I could print for my room and use as wallpaper. Didn’t find much, and then I watched few words again:
I've always been a massive fan of Candide, and loved Few words more than any other backcountry/big mountain movie out there, like many of you, i'm sure. The movie has insane skiing shots and really beautiful nature ones too (i love the music and feel to it too, which made me watch it over 10 times). Really pissed me off that you couldn’t screen shot (on iTunes), so I removed the drm and over a few weeks I’ve selected all the good (still) shots and screenshotted them. This isn't strictly illegal, as I am not using it to make people view the movie for free or making money out of it, so please, mods don't delete this thread, I've put a LOT of effort into it. I also sent a message on fb to Candide, asking for permission to share this here, which whoever deals with his public account viewed but did not answer, which he probs would have done by now if he was against it (i sent it over 3 weeks ago).
So there you go, more than a 100 (about a third of it is full hd) wallpaper/printable shots (I'm defo gonna print some hd out, if you do the math, you could have around 60cm by 40 posters out of hd shots without losing any quality). I won't embed all the shots separately but i've made some previews, with links to the pics (quality is much better with links, and previews are often a bit distorted. The white bars on the previews are just cos i didn’t fit all the pics together nicely).
The "awesome shots" are all the hd/really cool shots, the "wide shots", well, some more wides, same for "close shots". However, the "Nature shots" are all pretty much in hd and most of them are dope, so check that out too!
