wide skis are awesome in the park. IMO after about 95-100 waist width, depending on the weight, it starts to limit how techy you can get. but something right around 100 or so you can still whip around real easy and you get a lot more stability and that buttery wide ski feel. when you get around 110 and wider it kinda opens up the possibilities on how you can ski a park, some of my favorite park skis were the original 122 waist, 179 length center mounted hellbents. you could butter and pop off anything, press everything, surface switch up easy, and i still hit 60+ foot jumps and learned/dialed in 7's and switch 5's on em, learned 450's on, which is pretty sweet considering the width. easily the most fun ive ever had in the park.
unfortunately there really isnt any ski being made right now that has that perfect combination of flat underfoot, big rocker, soft flex and width that the hellbent had. if there was id snatch them up in an instant and use them for my park skis
