Umm how does it feel being wrong about telling someone they are wrong? Read up on some history. They started smoking weed with Bob Dylan and by the time White Album came out John and Paul had some serious heroin problems. Listen to Helter Skelter and come back and reassess your response.
Seriously dude you are going to attempt to argue that Please, Please Me, With The Beatles and Help era was better than Rubber Soul, Revolver, Sgt. Pepper, Magical Mystery Tour, White Album, Yellow Submarine and Come Together? You are out of your mind and have no idea what you are talking about.
this post more or less solidifies my earlier (never actually stated.. only based on your recent prolific nonsense) idea that you are a complete attention whore.. and it matters not at all if its negative or positive... you just like to make people fucking irritated....
talking shit on the beatles is just fucking blasphemy. and if you say otherwise.. than you just have 0000000 appreciation for the history of music. I'm not saying you need to like the beatles. but I am demanding respect on behalf of them.
Reread my post there dear I gave them the respect they desrved (few good songs) culturally and musically they are vastly overrated. Simple, bland, monotonic songs. I demand respect for the real heroes of that era Buddy Holly, Elvis, Stones, etc etc if you think the BEatles were better your crazy. You must have a problem with people who can think for themselves and don't have opinions just to conform with others'.
Early Beatles aren't THAT overrated the early stuff was all pretty good and got them popular for a reason however their music just wasn't that original or groundbreaking since it was the same songs as bands had been making since the 50s.
Where they are ridonkulously overrated is their later stages (once they decided they were too good to perform live of course and concerts were beneath them) when they are hailed as visionary. They just weren't. Sgt Peppers does not deserve to be jerked off over like it is.
Elvis did more for race relations in the US than any other performer. He was basically black and gave the world a star that transcended color, which in turn allowed black artists and black music to just be seen as "music" and not "black music."
The Stones came before the Beatles and basically paved the way for a lesser band than themselves to commercially be the biggest thing on the planet.
I can back up my arguments without slinging insults can you?
For somebody that claims to know what they are talking about, you should already know that the reason the Beatles stopped touring wasn't because they thought touring was beneath them it was because of the complexity of their songs and the recording techniques they were using at the time were impossible to recreate in a live show with the technology available at the time.
They loved being a band and playing shows but they realized they could accomplish more in the studio than they could playing live. To say their later stuff is overrated just proves how little you actually know about the band. Listen to Tomorrow Never Knows and and explain to me a) how it is overrated or not ahead of its time b) what artists they are ripping off from the 1950s and c) how they could have replicated those sounds live?
I'll save you some time. They aren't. No one. Impossible at the time.
