I made the same thread a while ago, just search for it. I ended up getting the halo 2's because they are softer.

This is what I'm hoping to do this winter as well, Alpha X's look really fun! But too those of you who already have skiied on them: What do you think about their stiffness?

I went through this problem a couple months ago. I ended up choosing the halo 2 because they were softer. I like the design on the alpha x more though.
