Public or Private Highschool

I am a sophomore right now at a public school in colorado and my parents said I could switch to a private school if I wanted to. In the past I have hated the idea of private schools but now my average class size is like 34 kids and I feel like I might be able to get a better education at a private school. Any one on ns have some insight for spagett the spagott?

It all depends on what school you choose. For me I live on the east coast. I started in a private middle school in 6th grade. I hated it there everyone was spoiled rich and dicks. The education was not even that good. But now I am a freshman at a different private school and I love it!! Everyone is so chill and nice and the education I get is great. In middle school I had a 2.8 GPA and now I have a 3.7. I am so glad I went to private school.

Its not too complicated. I am saying some of these prep schools have their grades LOOKED at differently than a public school. It is entirely possible, and I have seen it happen to multiple friends, family friends, and siblings.

A Phillips Andover/Exeter/Middlesex/St. Pauls etc. all have their grades looked at differently because of the difficulty of their classes. A "B" at one of those schools is the looked at as the equivalent of an "A" at most others.

I went to private school once. It was pretty cool, everyone had pet owls and the quidditch matches were pretty tight. A bunch of weird shit was happening there though, like trolls in the bathroom and soul sucking black things floating around so I just decided to go back to public school.

No, just get good grades and go to a private COLLEGE where it actually matters.

I never said a B is an A. What I am saying is that schools will weigh their decisions knowing that a B at one of those top schools could be the same as an A at a lesser school. They will take that into consideration. I am not comparing the grades at the same school. I am comparing it between public and private.

The 4.0 students at Andover? Comparatively just on grades and SAT/ACT scores alone? Yes. A 4.0 at Andover (depending on the classes obviously) is quite difficult. Much more so than the average run-of-the-mill public school.
