I really enjoyed it. Don't know how it compares to the book though as I haven't read them

I have to see it.

Also i read the series years ago and thoroughly enjoyed them for the most part, i thought it was quite an interesting concept and fairly well executed. Yes there were parts that were boring but with that kind of a story line its tough to avoid having some parts that aren't very exciting. I didn't think the first movie did the books justice, glad to hear the second one sounds better.
