help with computer..NO SOUND?

im not sure why but ever since a few months ago my comp hasnt been playing sound. its not my speakers, its something wrong with the comp. we did open up the computer a few months ago to replace one of the drives. do you think maybe the sound card got unplugged? any other ideas would be helpful. thanks

if ur using windows don't forget to check your drivers in device manager
