Replying to AT Boots in the park?

So today I went to a boot fitter and per new schooler advice I looked at a well fitting boot over a comfy park boot. I decided on a pair of Solomon Quest 110 boots. Loved them, they fit great, good stiffness, and being AT boots they were really light. However, my local hill is almost all park and I will be skiing 90% park this winter (other ten will be out west trips). My question is has anyone had problems with AT boots in the past (whether it be in the park or the rest of the mountain) and has anyone had problems with the "backbone release" on these boots.+k thanks for any advice!
