AT Boots in the park?

So today I went to a boot fitter and per new schooler advice I looked at a well fitting boot over a comfy park boot. I decided on a pair of Solomon Quest 110 boots. Loved them, they fit great, good stiffness, and being AT boots they were really light. However, my local hill is almost all park and I will be skiing 90% park this winter (other ten will be out west trips). My question is has anyone had problems with AT boots in the past (whether it be in the park or the rest of the mountain) and has anyone had problems with the "backbone release" on these boots.+k thanks for any advice!

I've skied both a Solomon quest 120 and a dalbello lupo.

They are both strictly alpine boots, with walk modes. That being said, never have had any problems with the walk mode while skiing on them, for either boot. The dalbellos ski better, and that might just be the boot, but while pressing on the tails really hard, I can't tell the boot has a walk mode. In the solomons, it wasn't ever sloppy, but the dalbellos do feel better.



Summary: It's chillin. Full alpine boot with a walk mode. Burly shit. Get stoked.

Salomon Quest boots are definitely not AT boots, for the record.

They aren't big money AT boots but they are Marketed as AT.

Yes they are. I fucking hate them with a white hot rage the likes of which have not been seen for millennia, but they are AT boots.


OP you will be fine. Full Tilts are super light too don't forget. Just because they're comfortable and warm doesn't mean they won't work. Not like you're hitting chad's gap anyways, amirite?
