New water slide currently being erected in good Kansas City. Towering well over 135 ft and speeds near 65mph.

So, I ask you, NS -- would you do this? I don't think I would and I've done some pretty sketchy shit in my lifetime.

Note, the sidewalls and that you would be in a tube going down.

Yep. I've done the one in Disney at Blizzard Beach, its 120 ft and reaches speeds of 60 MPH. You just get a massive wedgie if you uncross your legs.

The one you posted doesn't look as steep as Summit Plummet.

I feel like I'd be more inclined to do a body slide than a tube slide like that. Those sidewalls look way too short for me to be comfortable going down it on a tube. Maybe they look shorter in the pic?

I can assure you there is little to no possibility of going off the edge of that thing. I'm sure the sides are considerably higher than they need to be

I remember doing this.  I looked over the edge and immediately thought "fuck no" then turned around a saw a huge line waiting and went for it.  So worth it, love adrenaline.

That new slide looks killer and my bro lives in kc so I'll have to try it out.

You do realize that this is completely safe with no element of danger, right? If there was the slightest chance anything could go wrong the insurance company for the park would not allow it. Is your claim to being a "badass" that you went down a slide that thousands upon thousands of other people surely will?

Look at it in a different light. It will not make you a badass. It will not make you tough. It will not make you cool. It may be fun. If you think it will be fun for you, then by all means enjoy.

obviously no one read the story where you are going down in a raft with 3 other people, and there is a roller built after it. official height not given until completion. but yea who else wants to do it with me
