I work as a marketing coordinator for a distributor. I have an apartment, bills, a car, and I am making ends meet. Not by much but things are working out. Without this job I would very quickly get into a lot of debt.
My job is a good job, great experience and I'm not too bad at it. It's very stressful although most jobs will be. I don't enjoy it though. It's dull, incredibly monotonous, and isn't an industry I want to be married to.
Now here is the thing. I was just offered a new job. A job that I worked for a long time to qualify myself for. I'd be a marketing coordinator for a marketing company. My clients would be Diageo (smirnoff, crown royal, captain morgan ext) and Labatts. I'd be organizing sampling events around ontario. More money, work from home, and a job I would enjoy.
This is a job that I've wanted for quite a while. Started working at the ground level of this company over a year ago to get my foot in the door.
Where it gets complicated, they are only promising me the job for the next 2 months to finish another persons contract. I have no solid guarantee, and I have a 9 months left on this lease. It would be taking a big risk, but could be a big reward.
Anyway that's what's on my mind right now.
