Sounds like the boots are just far too high volume for you. Ideally a boot should fit well without the buckles done up. For this to be the case the shell has to be almost the same size as your foot. If you need to really tighten the boots it means the shell is too big and you are  attempting to change the shell to make it fit you better.

Best bet is take them to a fitter and  see what you can do to change the volume. Volume reducers under the inner boot, foot beds, spoilers and extra foam could all be options, but if these are new boots its prob not worth it. It may be better to return them and start again with a boot which fits your foot better.

Thanks for good responses. I live in small town so I don't have the possibility to see the fitter any time soon. If there even is one anywhere near I live. I used these boots whole previous season and didn't have big problems. Last weekend I was skiing and started thinking how much better I could ski if the boots were a litte tigher.

Yeah defiantly sounds like they are a bit big and they have packed out. If you cant get to a fitter there are a few things you could try. You need to add things inside the shell to reduce the overall volume. Try adding innersoles from shoes ect into the liner and shell, to try to get it fitting tighter. If you can get something like stiff foam or cork, you can cut a piece out the same shape  as the boot board. this could really help.

I would not bother spending money on new cables as its really a waste.

I'm going to second Tom on this one. Buying a shorter cable will not help take up space in the boot, nor will it effectively wrap the shell around the ankle area if the extra volume inside is too great.

I tried with innershoes and the boot does feel fit. Only "problem" is that heel gets to move a little vertically. And the middle sole really has no use which is odd. The cable is so long that it would be almost same without it. I feel smaller boot would be uncomfortable because this is mostly fit and tight already. Although after skiing a while it starts to loosen up.

Try adding more under your heel if you still have heel lift. You don't want to go too high as it will effect your balance point. A fitter would instead add foam over the instep and round the ankle pocket but you can't really do that yourself.

And regarding going smaller, it may not be a smaller size you need but just a smaller volume boot. Full tilt are pretty big inside so it may just be you need a smaller volume to hold your foot. Footbeds should be a must for new boots too. They stabilise your foot and really help allow you to be fitted comfortably into a small boot.
