To start off, I know these skis are very different but I still need advice. Also, help from anyone who has risen both would be great.
I'm 6' 185 I ride 99% park and mostly rails (don't reply domains yet, chill) this year I plan on really working to get my jump and rail game at relatively equal levels. So I was wondering how playful recoils are, and how sturdy domains are on bigger jumps. (70/30 rails/jumps) I will be hitting hostly 20-30ft jumps, but once a week I will make a trip to a better resort with bigger jumps 40-60ft and I want to know which ski will perform the best during my season?
recoil in this arguement for sure. domains will wash out like crazy on a 6 footer. but why are you so set on k2, i would check out Atomic infamouses which will handle it all or ON3P filthy riches, or armada thalls
I rode on the recoil as a demo and you are going to want the recoil with your build. I really didn't like how they rode though but domains would just have too much flex for you. You have the same build as shea flynn and I have not seen him on domains in a long ass time.
I love my recoils they are stiff but you can still press and butter on them.. Very playful easy to ollie and ski switch. like I said they are stiff enough to bomb and stomp the big jumps. I've never skiied teh domains so I can't say much about them but recoils are well rounded ski probly my favorite park ski as well as all mountain..
seriously, I was hitting 70's with the domains, and stomping every thing. I have both skis and can say that i honestly love my domains more, but i think for ur situation the recoils may be better, what size are you looking at?
Get the recoils and if you are a pretty experienced skier, get a size of ski a little taller than you, unless you are doing all park, then get a ski around your height, but if not get a bigger size.
