HELP WITH PICS

I made a thread selling some of my old gear, and i could not figure out how to get the pics to be bigger. i felt i would have made more sales if the picture were a lot bigger. Can anyone give me some help on how to make the pics in your threads way bigger? +k for any good feedback!

how big were the original files? and what website did you use to upload them to before copying the links into NS?
