Replying to Couple binding questions

Hey what's up everyone, just got a couple questions..

so i have a pair of older volkl katanas i got (very) used last year, and i love them, but they had already been mounted twice, and i had to put some shitty cheap salomon bindings on them cause it's all i could afford at the time.

now i don't have enough money to get new skis but i def need more legit bindings on them (i prereleased twice in situations where i really shouldn't have last year), but these skis have now been mounted 3 times. so i imagine i can't do a 4th mount, even if they do have metal topsheets, right?

can i mount a nicer pair of salomons in the same holes? is that safe? also, i would like to get into skinning-- do the salomon guardians use the same mounting pattern as other salomon bindings, and if so, can i put guardians on there? additionally, is it dumb to use katanas as part time skinning skis? i know theyre not as light as most but i'm not too much of a weight weenie..
