Here’s the scoop, we plan to open with Cascade, Canyon, Beaver, Launch Pad, The Gulch and Long John with Bluebird Express, Nitro Express, Canyon Express and Discovery Shuttle getting you there. Just to sweeten the deal a bit, the weather forecast for Friday is looking fantastic! Revel in mostly sunny skies with comfortable temps in the mid-30s up at the top and mid 40s at the base.
There will be skiing and riding for intermediate to advanced ability levels from the summit and the top of Carinthia; beginner terrain will be on Launch Pad. Please ski and ride with caution as conditions will be variable and please go slow over water bars.
There are two ways to get to Carinthia. 1) park at Carinthia, 2) park at Main Mountain and take the MOOver. We plan to go as big as possible at Carinthia, the East’s #1 Terrain Park according to TransWorld Snowboarding and SKI Magazine. Our goal is over a dozen features on The Gulch. The park crew will assess the snow they have to work with and I’m sure you’re gonna like what they put together.
The Main Base Area will be accessible from Carinthia by taking Long John to Beaver via the top of Nitro Express. Cascade to Canyon will be accessible by taking the Bluebird Express to the summit.
We do plan to suspend operations Monday through Thursday of next week and reopen, weather permitting, on Friday the 22nd for the remainder of the season.
All retail shops will be open as well as The Clocktower rental shop and The Grind will be open for repairs. Lift ticket rates will be $55 for adults, $45 youth and senior, $5 for kids 5 and under and a lower mountain ticket for Launch Pad/Discovery Shuttle lift will be $30. There will be no multi-day or afternoon lift tickets and no snow guarantees will be provided. Lift tickets can be purchased at the Clocktower and Carinthia. Or you can get your tickets for this weekend online right now!
If you are in the Boston area and are looking for something awesome to do, check out the Boston Ski and Snowboard Expo going down at the Seaport World Trade Center Thursday thru Sunday. Make a beeline to the Mount Snow booth so you can snag exclusive show-only offers on lift tickets and season passes…and stickers.
Cheers to snow!*****
