Had about give pairs (out of the twelve we sold) come back broken or pre-releasing from the heel lock. What we discovered was the plastic shim that slides into place to lock the binding would wear down and become loose and wiggle around until it would pop open (same problem that we saw with the guardian, yes even the thirteen din version we were demoing). We did see two of them come back with broken plastic pieces all from damage done while hiking instead of riding down the hill.
I demoed a pair for a short tour and they were all right. It would be nice if they had one more angle on that stand, and I agree they arent the crazy easiest things to change from walk mode (easier than the f12's) but still ice buildup is also a problem with these or any non-tech touring binding for that matter.
I am spoiled having Fritchis and F12's and prefer the frits for real tours and f12's for inbounds b.s. But I am a small dude.
If you are lighter and not doing much touring these are a comparable option to the duke / guardian. Personally I am not the biggest fan of the guardian or this adrenaline. Marker or Fritschi are still your best options in my book.
