Boots for liftie

i guess i never really paid attention to lifties feer but this season ill be working as one. just curious, do lifties who ski wear their ski boots while working? thanks

at my mountain we have no "ride breaks" you lucky son of a bitch. i could never imagine working in my ski boots for 5 hours, id probably have to off myself- get yourself a nice warm pair of waterproof boots. its worth the money. my first two years working lifts i always made the mistake of only spending between 25-50 bucks on my boots. theyd be perfect at first but by the end of the season my toes would be frozen.

from what i understand you get a 15 minute break. you can do a lap or whatever you want with those 15 minutes. same with your half hour lunch

I know a lot of lifties- the snowboarders will sometimes leave their boots on but skiers will always swap out, it's just not safe to wear them when you might have to book it to save some asshat from themselves. Besides, the lift shack heater should keep your ski boots warm, dry and soft for easy entry.



I'd get the warmest fkn winter boots I could afford for standing around and bumping chairs if I were you though. Waterproof is a must.
