Weekend trip to chicago

Alright NS, i'm taking an unplanned trip to chicago this weekend. driving there friday, so i'll arrive at about 10. then i'll leave at about noon sunday. what are all the must-do things, and where are the best places to eat? i'm guessing some of you have been/live there, so knowing some stuff would be nice. all the travel sites are kinda useless.

nothing crazy, its not like a huge vacation. so to all you travelers, what should i do?


inb4 hookers and blow. don't worry i already plan on that. haha

Gotta go to Gino's. Best pizza In town. Also navy pier is nice to walk around at. I could think of more but I haven't been there in a few years.

Grew up there for 18 plus years. How old are you? That makes a huge diff. And ginos east? Really? Sure it's good, but its the like the cheap chain version of chi pizza. Much better options. Pm me or post here and I'll give my .02 cents

Theres this sandwich shop somewhere that delivers your sandwiches via toy train. Theres like a track that runs through the store. Its pretty sick.
I dunno if it still exists, that was like 15 years ago.

Damn. Well thay rules out a lot of stuff. Catch a bulls game, tixs can be cheap for upper deck. The bean/millennium park, hella touristy, but kinda cool, right next to the lake too. The shedd aquarium is the tits as are the field museum and adler planetarium. Boborinos has THE best Italian beef sandwiches, be sure to get them with hot and sweet peppers. Lou monauties has some of the most banger pizza around. That is what Chicago locals vote for the best pizza.t

Also tons of movie theaters and malls. Which kill time and give some awesome ppl watching opportunities! There is a sweet retro arcade/bar/restaurant on the border of tbe city too.

Also second city comedy club, THE club that many SNL ppl got their starts at its worth it if you go before late night when it's 21+

Since you're under age and can't check out a lot of the bars, clubs, etc., I'd say you should definitely go and check out the Shedd Aquarium and the Museum of Science and Industry. Those are both super dope. Definitely get a beef sando from Al's. Hell, even Portillo's has pretty damn good beef. You have to check out Gino's East, too, just to say you've had it. It's fucking famous for a reason. (I will say that Lou's is pretty damn banger, too.)

Also, if the weather is nice, check out the Pier. You can also go do some shopping on Michigan Avenue if you've got some dough to blow.

Enjoy your time there. Chicago is such an awesome city....despite the politicians sucking fucking sperm whale penis.

Portillo's
For the cheaper comfy food.

For more expensive food, I need to know your pricing guidelines, as Chicago is home to amazing restaurant's, and like others have said since your not 21 your kinda limited. And it's cold now, so walking along the lake front on day like today sucks balls with the wind.
Shed Aquarium is cool.
Navy pier is much better in the summer. Nothing special IMO.
Michigan Ave is dope if you have some serious $$ to spend. If you don't, I would not bother.

and speedin, i would say nothing more than 40ish per person for a fancy dinner

Seriously? I've always thought Gino's was pretty synonymous with Chicago style pizza. EVERYBODY knows about Gino's.

Also, OP - check out Harry Caray's restaurant. Order a steak. Fan-fucking-tastic. The shit melts in your mouth. I'd recommend the peppercorn and bordelaise.

-Portillos and Al's for Italian beef.
-Lou Malnatis and Pizanos for prizza.
-Gotta go to the lookout on the Sears Tower (called the Willis tower, now)
-Maybe somehow grab tickets for the Hawks game on Sunday?
-Hit up the Shedd Aquarium (you can get in for free by going backwards through it by starting at the end of the tour through the gift shop)
-Grab a few drinks at one of the few Billy Goat Taverns.
-Navy Pier can be entertaining
-Lincoln Park zoo is free and it is pretty fun
-Pro tip: stay away from the southern side exits off the Dan Ryan Expressway, unless you enjoy getting shot.

see Sue at the field museum, see fishes in the shedd aquarium, see the bean, i guess the last time i went there was when i was in the 8th grade so my highlight of the trip was going to the top story of our hotel to swim and lean out onto the glass window and look down and go to the american girl doll store.

Buckingham Fountain is pretty impressive.
Portillo's is dope. Don't park at Walgreens unless you buy something though, fastest and scariest tow I've ever seen.

This is pretty spot on. Also if you decide to walk around in the loop I would definitely grab a bag of chicago style mix popcorn from Garrett's. And for real though if you're coming in from the south stay on the Dan Ryan until the loop.
