Im 18 yrs old. Im an intermediate skier and tried starting freestyle skiing last year. Last year I bought line mastermind 177 with look px12 bindings and I have tecnica mega 6 ski boots. everytime I tried to do a box..... i would plan to do a 90 degrees turn onto it but everytime i tried poping up i would only turn 45 degrees.....it was very hard to pop in those skis......at first i thought i just cant do freestyle but then im guessing that the skis are tooo long.....in 6'2.5ft tall and weigh 140lbs.....average for my height is 170...any experienced freeskiers out there know what im talking about....should i sell my skis and get shorter ones or try to gain more weight or something?
I'm skinny at 145 lbs for 5'11 so i know where you're coming from.. I whipped 180 surfaces last year but this year I'm on 177's from nordica, I say you should stick with your size and just keep working! line skis arent the lightest so that might be a problem too. keep working brotha
I'd say 177 for someone who's 6'2" is way too short, so ski length is definitely not your problem. your problem is committing. you're clearly only rotating your waist and down and not your upper body.
I agree with you.....i havent made any progress after I hurt my knee....I just lost confidence in myself.....I hear theres something called ski armor that works well and is a confidence booster.....anybody have it?
I'm the same height but 170 u just need to learn how to use an edge and turn in the air. You can't just rotate without something to push off of or without using your body to rotate
