Imagine a world where some of your best friends wouldn't exist because of their parents and some people you know, their colour or religion, would be extinct. The western world thinks it has it bad on the gay marriage front, but you would have to hide who you were or else risk you and all those you love being rubbed out of existence. If you're a woman, you'd be raped with no justice at all and god help if you spoke out, you'd be sent off. If you were disabled, you'd be dead or tortured till you did. If you spoke out, you'd never be seen again. You would be in a world where the only thing is acceptable is whiter than white.
Thanks to those who gave their lives for a freer world than could have been.
