I've basically decided on getting some surface one lifes for my east coast "pow day" skis, but I'm torn between the 179's and the 189's. I'm 6' 135 lbs, and normally I wouldn't have any questions about sizing, but since the one lifes are such a weird ski, I'm second guessing myself. I'm leaning towards the 179's because I'm so light, but the 189's might be better because I don't think I'd ever hit the park in them. Plus, if you guys have any feedback on the skis, that's welcome too.
I would def say get the 189s IMO. If you are just going to be in pow and glades with them, you will appreciate the extra length, especially with something with that much rocker. They are going to ski much shorter than they look. I wouldent take them into the park personally but thats just me. I am 5'10 and I would go with that length as well, but Im a heavier dude.
It is a very short 189. That's what I ski and they are super nimble even in tight New England trees. The only way I would recommend the 179 is if you are skiing them in the park.
