Trouble with new skis.

has anyone else had trouble with new skis. i just got the 159 fujatives and i moved up 29cm they are also alot heavier and they are my first pair of twin tips i am just gettin used to them. any advice on dealing with my hardships? thanks

i jumped up 20 cm and was taking it slow the first couple of runs but i notice as i got more aggressive the skiing got much easier

they shouldnt be too much heavier...how heavy r ur bindings? last year i jumped up 30 cm n it just took time to get used to

you just need a few days to get used to them. you kinda have to relearn some stuff with that big a jump but its like one try and you've got it down

K2s tend to be heavy. Your fine unless you are freakishly under weight. No big, they will make you a stronger skier.

I went from 145's to 170's. You just have to get used to them but you then realize the length is faster but not as easy to maneuver. Or maybe its just 145's, cause those are short.

if you are just switching to longer skis, you cant let yourself ski in the back seat, or you won't be able to control your turns. its harder to stay centered over a larger ski, but if you do, you can go a lot faster and harder.


ill be super rich and own mt.hood and let everybody from ns ski for free... except freezed

i just got some 168's and i skied on a 150 last year. it took me less than than two turns to get used to them cause i'm that good

yea its not that hard to move up, you just gotta be confident. i went from 153s to 164s for not even half a season then got the 179 fujatives. took me a run and i was fine. just dont sit back on them, go balls in and kill it

Last year I jumped up 16 cms, not as big, but still a jump. It took a day or so to get totally used to.
