My buddy's dipshit brother just bought a brand new Nissan 370z. Two days after he buys it he murdered the whole thing out with Plasti-Dip. It looks like total dog shit and it wont even be a month before that shit starts to flake off.

FUCK Plasti-dip, get a real paint job.

when done right, it sometimes almost looks good. If you're drifting don't do it. If you're driving fast, don't do it. If you want to, get it done with the 3m car wrap, for the people I know who did it it's not bad.

I like plastidip, as long as its not overdone. Ive done the grill + back emblem on mine and I think it looks good. Plastidipping rims doesnt look good at all. A couple of ppl around me do it to their c300 and it looks terrible.

Anyways. Just got done doing some things on my car. Grille and rims ;)

Went through like 2 1/2 cans and they came out pretty clean. The more work you put in to prepping, the easier and cleaner it will be. Its simple to do, as long as you dont take on anything too big for what you have. Ex) Dont try and do a whole car with rattle cans, get a paint sprayer.
Its just like spray paint though. Follow the instructions and watch some youtube vids and you'll be golden. Heres some of my car before and after

My buddy did his bmw 330is completely plastidip flat black. Looks professional, has held up to 150+mph highway runs for the past 6 months. Take your time, go slow and evenly, and it can/will look ba!

i vinyl wrap and plastidip full cars for a living. as long as you use the dip gun and know what youre doing it can look good, not as good as a wrap but still good. im dipping my car with a matte clear soon to protect it for winter, plus the companies paying for it so why not. that being said, i would NEVER spend my own money on plastidip, shits stupid.

I plasti dipped my whole car matte red. The paint was shit so I thought I would give it a new look. To the people who say plasti dipping ruins a car you do realize it just peels right off without damaging anything right? It's a cheep way to change the color of your car

A 330 has nowhere near 500hp. My understanding was that it has 220. I've driven a 335 (300hp)and a ferrari f430 (503hp) and there is quite a difference.

whatever one has the TT V6, guessing its the 335is. It was a sexy two door coupe 6 speed. Bunch of tuning, new turbos, pistons, rings, polished intake, exhaust, better brembos, it was far from stock. CF hood, roof and trunk too. I saw the dyno results, 550ish wheel hp on the conservative tune setting. On race gas, alchy inject and higher boost it was 675ish.

some guy that works at a local dunkin donuts has a 2004 wrx and has black plasti dip thats peeling so theres blue spots all over it. I would only use it on the badges on my car and give the front lights 'angry eyes'



Thats fucking obsurd though. Peel it all off.

I'd believe it. I drove a 5 series with the 3.0 inline 6, it put out a little over 300 stock, and the twin turbo gets it to roughly 340 hp stock. With that much work, 550 seems doable, and I race fuel can make a huge difference, I've seen some numbers around like 20%. Any idea what his times are like?

I did my wheels, logos, and grill. I think it looks much better. I ended up taking off each wheel individually and spraying it. I'm happy I did cause I ended up not painting the lug nuts so I have chrome lug nuts with black rims. Came out really good and was very easy to do.

Only reason why I would dip your whole car is to preserve your paint job for resale. But your car will probably look stupid driving around dipped.

FUN FACT: i have a friend that tried this, but with his dick. put on a condom first cause he thought he wasnt dumb, but turns out plastidip eats through latex, and also burns like hell on your genitals.

Be careful!

We were plasti dipping my buddies car in the lot at the mountain. We decided to take a couple runs. He still had two cans in his pocket. He fell on a rail and they both punctured. He was covered in the stuff and it looked pretty funny honestly. I started to laugh but as he got up and started to ski down it hardened.

make sure to spray 10-12 inches away, and multiple coats should do well! a minor rash should be expected

did my dirt bike rims with this stuff, didn't turn out too bad. One thing i got told to do and found it gives you a better finish is let the can sit in a bowl of hot water before you spray

My friend used it on his rims, it looks like dog shit.

I dipped the wheels on my old car and it came out great. I used tire and rim cleaner to clean the rim as much as I could. Just make sure you do it in well lit and ventilated areas. Also recommend getting a spray handle for the plasti dip spray can, it makes the job a whole lot easier and your arm will thank you.

That being said, I'm probably going to dip the rims on my new car to protect it for the winter.
