Well, I am sure you were half joking assuming we made 15, but yea we try not to overproduce our
stuff. And we also produced a bunch more of those lighters after those
sold-out. They are available in our 3 boutiques to walk-in customers.
We have made them something you can get if you visit our stores.
The online allocation just sold out faster than we expected.
Hypebeast.com also sold out of their allocation in less than a day and
they told us most of their staff bought one as well. It was just a
popular accessory for us I guess.
And
to address the person who started the thread by stating that "jiberish
is now chairs", I am not sure what that means, but I assume it had
something to do with the fact that we made a chair this year. After 8
years and over 200 different sweatshirts, yes, we made a chair. We have
done some accessories each year since we started and we wanted a
camping chair that we can use in the parking lots of places like A-Basin
in the Spring, for camping in the summer, and for tailgating at
sporting events. We make stuff that we like and we have done that since
day one. I personally love a good camping chair so I am glad we made
it. And it looks like other people do to because a lot have sold in the first 48
hours of our Holiday release. Sure you can get a camping chair for
$20, and that is totally fine. Not everyone buys something strictly
because of price and function. Sometimes people like items for other
reasons.
We
also have blankets coming out as part of our Woolrich capsule
collection, but that does not make us a blanket company. We just wanted
blankets for around the house that are made of really interesting
patterns from vintage wool. Accessories are things we will continue to
make as long as they are items that we personally like and will use.
People who like our brand often like these items, and those who don't
like Jiberish won't like it because they tend to be branded with our
name and logo. If you don't like it , the good news is that you are not
obligated to purchase it. It is not likely they will be available for very long anyways.
Regardless, thanks to everyone who has supported us over the years. Unfortunately I
