"Suzuki said that an international team of experts needs to go into the
Fukushima plant and help fix the problem, but said the Japanese
government has 'too much pride to admit that.'"
This where I just about punched my computer screen.
I mean, it's not hard to imagine that if another large earthquake strikes and sends fuel rods scattered across japan then there'd be an issue. Not exactly a revolutionary idea there. Real science plz?
Anything you hear from the media should be taken with a grain of salt. they amp things up to get views and this whole radiation thing is a good way to scare the shit out of people to get those views. Sure, I think that this could be a possible threat. but i dont think theres any sort of chance ill have to evacuate my home in the next three years.
when it initially happened, my father had put a team together and they were supposed to be the first to go over to help out but that never happened. as you said, the Japanese government couldnt/wouldnt admit failure. they went through countless RFPs with various corporations for work. in the end, the government just picked the best idea and tried to go about it their way-which didnt work. it's sad. and really, the hype on this, if anything, is underplayed. it's much worse than it's made out to be.
Guess what...this is just one small problem on the trash heap that is the earth. Global Warming, greenhouses gases, excessive use of fossil fuels plus we continue to push the use of those things yet we have no more than what is in the earth. More than half of the fossil fuel in the earth is gone. When we have no more gas what happen? Who knows. Remember people the earth is linked together. With interwebs and iphones and kids at 10 can shoot guns. How many people die a day in the US, in North America, what about the world. But of those people who die who deserves to? So think about this people...if we really want to be happy shouldnt we consider a change in our way of life?
