Last Summer Before Work

I'm going to be graduating from my Master's program this upcoming May and am trying to figure out how I should spend the summer before I start my full time job in late August. 

I'm thinking I would really like to live somewhere new for about 2 months (currently live in Illinois).  I studied abroad a few years back, so I'm not sure that an intense 2-3 week Euro trip is what I'm looking for, but I would definitely consider living somewhere warm in Europe.  I'm wondering if any of you have done anything similar, or have spent a relatively short amount of time living somewhere over the summer that you you really enjoyed.

damn man, why are you going right to work?

personally if i was in that situation i'd travel the united states. just do a big loop and see almost all of it.

fuck starting work right away. Work all summer and then do something rad for at least a year.

I got a job with the company I interned with last summer.  I think it's going to be much easier to start work right away and get my career started and then decide to take a year or two off, rather than doing it the other way around.

Got my Undergrad and Masters in Accounting - currently studying for the CPA.  Going to be working for one of the Big 4 accounting firms in Chicago.

Do what you want to do. As much as that sounds like shitty advice it's the best I can do.

I don't know what makes you happy but that's probably what you should do.

Well that's the thing - I'm not really sure what I'd like to do.  I've been flirting with the idea of trying to live somewhere in the Caribbean, but I'm flexible in that I'd go almost anywhere.

I will toss out a small island in the Greek islands. Ios has amazing white sand beaches and amazing night life. If you want to chill there is no better place. I was only stopping through and ended up staying for a month. Its a bitch to get to, having to spend 12hrs on a fairy boat to get to, but well worth it.

PS its a well known party spot for the beautiful and open minded Scandinavian girls.

This is exactly what I'm doing when I graduate but make it all of North America with bunch of buddies living out of an RV and skiing anywhere.

One summer I did a bicycle tour down the west coast of the US. That was a pretty fun way to spend a couple months. Somethin to think about.

2 months isn't really long enough to 'live' somewhere, unless it's like a hostel or bar job you're looking for, most businesses would want you to stay longer. I'd say you should go nuts travelling somewhere cheap for that time, 2 months sounds like a lot, but it really isn't.
