B/c this is a skiing forum? Who cares, not every thread has to be interesting to every member. If it doesn't interest you than don't click/comment on it, duh.
last season I demoed the thall and arv, and I think these are right about in the middle in terms of flex. just from first glance they feel like they will be able to handle all mountain really well - if you prefer a more playful ski.
I was under the impression that the al dentes were softer than the arv. I have arvs and for east coast for me it was the perfect do everything ski that could handle a foot of pow, slush, butters, nollies, and it was just a damn good time on them. Now that I'm out west I'm not going to be too upset over the waist width.
Thanks! "Soft" is really subjective, so it's hard to comment.. I've always liked a softer ski as I went back to skiing after years of snowboarding and I think the feel preference just carried over. The ARV was too stiff for me and this is basically the same ski with more flex which is just perfect. The boots are the ft tom wallisch. I'll put up a picture of the bindings mounted tomorrow (if the shop can expedite) but you guys can speculate until then ;) bets anyone?
Haha I only felt like unwrapping one and was conveniently next to a mirror. Mirror boot selfie indeed.

Bindings should probably have come in a Look or Rossi box and be labeled either FKS or Pivot. None of that Salomon toe-wing BS. (or the exact same binding with Atomic written on it.)
haha sorry for the delay guys, here's a few pictures of the complete setup:
the bindings are Salomon STH 16s - good guesses
Shoutout to Phi's Ski and Snowboard Shop for hooking up the mounting and tune overnight. If any of you guys are in LA/OC area, consider getting your work done there
I know nothing about bindings and got these just because Henrik used them for at least part of last season. Haha jk
I was going back and forth between the Look 14/18 and these. While the release system on the look is definitely superior, two things swayed me to the FTH: first, I ski a lot of deep snow in Canada and the Look/Rossi tend to get jammed up on lockin/release in such conditions (in fact with the wide toe plate FTH is great on wider skis); and second, literally every person I'd speak to about the FTH said they are the burliest binding out there and likewise had only the best comments on the driver toe. I ski on 12-13 as anything less tends to prerelease going inverted (I'm 5'8", 165).
Camber shot as soon as I get out of bed. :)
