I'm blond, so growing facial hair is fucking embarassing. And its not called "No Shave November" its called Movember, youre supposed to grow a mustache for prostate cancer, people donate money if your mustache is good enough

"Seven Nightly News aired a story in 1999 featuring a group of young men in Adelaide, South Australia who coined the term "Movember" and the idea of growing moustaches for charity throughout the month of November."

"No Shave November has it's roots in the slightly older Movember, the international version in which men grow mustaches in the month of November to promote prostate cancer awareness."

Maybe No Shave November was more popular here first, but Movember definately came first.

Its main purpose is for fun or competition and there is no relation to Movember, but a few groups claim to pre-date Movember."

All of which I couldn't find a source actually claiming to predate Movember. I found the opposite...

So I'm just gonna accept that I won this pointless arguement and continue with the fact that I cannot grow facial hair worth a single shit. It gets long, but peach fuzz and awful. That being said I'm still doing Movember... Even if it's crap

Ok then... No where did I ever bring up Movember. You did. I could care less if Movember came before No Shave November. All I know is that I have always called it that and would rather grow a beard then a mustache.

i'm all in favor of no shave november but at my work (skishop) my boss started 'movember' and asked all of us to join in, so only beard shaving and moustache growing, and he said that for each succesful movember stache, the shop will donate 250 euro to a prostate and testicle cancer foundation. So i really couldn't say no ;)

There's no way in hell you grew that in only 2 months. Unless by "shaved it down" you mean trimmed, in which case perhaps fair enough.

going pretty good for 7 days in right now. The hairs on my chin are a tad prickly still but that will be gone in two days. Rest of my face is growing uniformly.
