DESCRIPTION
TGR is looking for an experienced, tech-savvy individual to run the post production department and manage the day to day IT/infrastructure needs of the company. Reporting to the Head of Production, this position will oversee all aspects of post-production including acquisition, ingestion, media management, transcoding, quality control, exporting and delivery. This position will be relied upon to have an intimate knowledge of all computer systems, servers, telecommunications, etc. We are looking for a self-starter with a positive attitude who is able to work in a fast paced, constantly evolving, deadline oriented production environment. This position is an integral part of the production team and larger company alike, and must be able to thrive in that team setting.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ability to take instruction, understand project requirements, and manage projects in an independent or team environment
- Manage IT infrastructure, personal computer systems, edit bays, phone and internal network systems
- Manage and maintain 80TB Small-Tree share storage server
- Troubleshoot a wide variety of server, computer and software related issues as they arise
- Work with editors to build new workflows and systems to improve efficiency
- Understand and project manage DVD, Blu-ray and digital download related design, video assets and delivery
- Help provide direction on budgets related to post-production hardware, software and general IT needs
- Document processes and systems for transfer of knowledge
- Stay up to date on latest technology, computer and camera systems
- Willingness to take on tasks outside job description
QUALIFICATIONS
- Understanding 4K media management, transcoding, conforming workflows and final delivery
- Strong understanding of LTO archiving workflows using Bru-PE
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Resolve, Compressor, REDcine-X and Final Cut Pro
- Strong understanding of different video formats and codecs
- Strong understanding of web/broadcast delivery specifications and requirements
- Experience in coloring and online editing
ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Basic experience with audio mix and audio repair
- Graphic design, motion graphic, and animation skills - bring reel and portfolio if applicable
- Comprehension of action sports landscape and content environment
