shit. so someone explain since I can't watch with sound right now: when the bottom plane got fire, was there anybody in it? Or had they all jumped out. And if they all jumped out, does that mean this was planned?

the plane that got fire was loaded with parachutejumpers, they all jumped out and the pilot got out in time aswell, the other plane was safe to land eventhough the engine and other stuff was broken/damaged

No headphones still? Only one pilot had to jump out and he had an emergency chute. The other landed his plane safely on ground.

lol that was actually in my town. i cant believe it made national news. I heard one of the pilots wasn't/isn't even supposed to be flying a plane because he can barely even drive a car. The guy is kinda off too..

So crazy. I was just telling my GF that if I get my pilots licence I want to have parachutes in the plane just in case. You never know when someones gonna just try to land on top of you in the air.

Any jump plane, or plane that is planning on opening the doors at anytime requires all on board to wear parachutes. All dropzone pilots wear super minimalist small backpack sized reserve chutes just because its required, would be terrifying to actually jump one of those. its very lucky no one was killed in that, especially the pilots, I read that the second plane got caught in the first plane's wash which is not necessarily human error but an obvious risk when flying in close proximity

No, it's 1000000% pilot error and extremely easy to avoid and/or get out of anyway. It's not like the plane goes fucking ballistic because you go through the wake of a Cessna.

Other way around. The plane loaded with jumpers is the one that didn't burst into flames. The other plane did and the pilot escaped using an emergency parachute. Didn't you watch the video?

The wingman is primarily responsible for deconfliction and he just barreled into the lead aircraft while going slow as balls. His fault for sure.
