I'm trying to get some turns in when I'm in Seattle on the 17th. Doesn't look like Stevens will be open by then, and I couldn't find info on any others. Hopefully someone has more info so I can cure my seasonitis.

You mean it rains all the time. And sometimes Baker erupts and we have to break out the Virtika Sheetmetal suit and the ON3P Lava Cruisers...

Boom! There will be snow somewhere, go find it. Some seasons resorts open a week or two into november, some seasons it has been as late as the first week of december. In my experience, Baker generally has the most consistent snowpack the fastest. Baker is a long drive for a day trip from Seattle though. However, Crystal also has a gondola that tops out at around 6,000 or so ft, which allows them to have limited operations before a lot of other areas.

Your best luck is usually Crystal, but this year looks especially dry for the NW so we may not see opening till around late Dec or early Jan.

No. The latest opening at Crystal in 70 something years was 12/15, and that was back in '95. Usually we are skiing before thanksgiving, or right afterwards.

totally depends. i had friends go skiing last week at baker but right now its pretty warm and probably raining up till like 7k. you can get skiing up on heliotrope ridge (google) near baker but you have to know your shit. if you go the wrong way there are crevasse and some dangerous early season snowpack. but it's really easy to avoid that if youre smart. right now it doesnt look like baker will be open before the 17th. in my experience the average opening is thanksgiving weekend

Thanks. Unless a storm blows in this week I probably won't bother trying. Looks pretty mushy up there now
All times are Eastern (-5)
