Outrageous Prices

I got a MacBook Pro about a month ago and now I'm looking for a good editing software. Jimmy Leslie uses Final Cut Pro X and I love his work but it's $300. Not that it's unaffordable but I don't want to spend my money on something I might not even like. Sam Zahner, I love his work as well, he uses Adobe Premeire but that's $40 a month. So the question is; are there any good cheap editing softwares or are they all outrageously priced?

Each editor has their own style. One of them doesn't have this "style" because of which program they use. A good video can be produced in free software, you just have to know what you're doing. I started off with Magix Movie Editor and it did the job fine, obviously you will progress on to bigger and better things, but try them out.
I do recommend adobe creative suite however.

final cut x is not the best if you want to more to more professional work. I use the adobe creative cloud suite. its only 30 a month if you are currently a student and has everything you need, premiere pro, after effects, photoshop, speedgrade, media encoder, and way more. You could also go with final cut pro 7 its older but similar to premiere pro. I think the adobe cc suite is the best value though because its more than just an video editing program.

ahhaha & thanks! Premiere  is a really good program though, ive worked some with FCP and I would strongly recommend adobe over it.

Or you could use the CS6 Framework crack and get the Master Collection for free...

CC is a scam unless you're working in a professional setting.
